Description

Among the approximately 495 shark species worldwide, 181 are already listed as endangered. Designer Steve hopes that through his shark backpack design, he can raise public awareness about shark conservation and help put an end to the shark fin trade. He encourages everyone to take real action and join the movement to reject shark fin consumption — just say no to shark fins.


The shark backpack features a close-up of a shark’s head, incorporating the structure of a traditional backpack. Metal eyelets are added on both sides as eyes, while two rows of sharp white teeth are screen-printed on the body. Pleated fabric folds on each side represent the gills, simply yet effectively capturing the shark’s fierce appearance. A custom fish-shaped zipper puller is added to remind people that sharks mostly eat fish and rarely bite humans, helping to correct the negative image of sharks. The backpack also features sewn-on red flags and blue-and-white shark flags — the same flags used at beaches to warn of shark sightings — adding a touch of fun and humor.


This latest design is made with colorful fabric panels in vibrant shades of red, blue, and green, creating strong visual contrast. It’s the perfect accessory to welcome a bright and lively summer.
